WillOak Welding and Fabrication

WIllOak Wedling and Frabrication came to fruition from my husband’s love for welding and my desire to be my own boss. My husband built a career in the union as a traveling pipefitter as I raised our children at home for 7 years . We knew we wanted more for our family.  We wanted a better work life balance to grow professionally and within our home. This prompted the start of our company and a successful balance we sought out. I found there was a need, close to home, for his exact skillset. We began working out of our garage making hand railings and doing equipment repair in our spare time. Once we gained a reputation, word of mouth traveled, and we were able to sign contracts with local businesses in need of skilled welders. We then partnered with UA Local 354 and began doing in house repairs and even making replacement parts for some of the Steel Mills in the area. We have been in business for just over a year and there is a lot we want to accomplish all while being able to come home to our kids at the end of every day. As a wife of a union worker, I know first hand how important jobs like these are. I am so thankful for 354 for providing my small woman owned business with skilled craftsmen that are vital for our success. We hope to expand and to grant more people the opportunity to stay local and maintain steady work.
